California Speedway 5000 Walk/Run
Join us for the California Speedway 5000, a competitive and fun 5K run/walk on the famous infield track at California Speedway. The event raises money for the CHP 11-99 Foundation, which assists CHP officers and their families in times of need, and the CHP Explorers program.

Race Day Registration
Race day registration will open at 6:30 a.m. at the
California Speedway Track on the infield by Pit Row.
Race begins at 7:30 am, Sunday, February 20th
Entry Fees
5K Run/Walk: $25.00
Kids 1 AND 1/2 Mile Run: $10.00
(Late fee applies after 2/7/05)
The course will start and finish on the famous California Speedway track, and will be certified by USA Track & Field. The kids run will be a 1 mile and 1/2 mile run. Download Course Map
T-Shirts and More!
All participants will receive a custom cotton T-shirt and an exclusive race goodie bag. Enjoy the New Balance Fitness Expo and food court immediately following the run.
Awards
All divisions will presented awards for both male and female categories for the top three in each division. In addition the overall top three male and female athletes will receive custom awards. All kids will receive a finishers award.
Take the 10 freeway to the Cherry Ave. off-ramp (approximately 2 miles east of the 15 interchange) and exit going north. Keep north for 1 mile and you will see the California Speedway on your left hand side. Enter through the main gate.
Photos 
The professtional event photography company, Brightroom, Inc. will be photographing the California Speedway 5000 Run / Walk. These high quality digital images will be available online from Brightroom directly.
The California Speedway 5000 benefits the CHP 11-99 Foundation and CHP Explorer Program.
Every time a California Highway Patrol officer makes an 11-99 call to fellow officers, their very life can be at risk. Likewise, when a family of any CHP employee experiences a crisis, whether it is a catastrophic illness, injury or death, they can call on the CHP 11-99 Foundation for assistance.
Another way the Foundation assists the CHP families is through scholarships provided to the dependents of California Highway Patrol employees. The Board of Directors and membership of the CHP 11-99 Foundation are grateful for the services the employees of the California Highway Patrol provides the citizens of the state of California. We are the extended family of the California Highway Patrol, and we are here to help.
