Vivien Wadeck, a 31 year-old from North Hollywood, CA, won the women's 5K for the second consecutive year posting a time of 17:49. Conor Stanton, an 18-year old from Fullerton, CA, won the men's 5K with a time of 15:47. Among the men, Mohammad Charara (17, Buena Park, CA) finished second with a time of 15:50 and Edgar Griffith (16, Riverside, CA) finished third with a time of 15:53. For the women, Erin Griffith (21, San Juan Capistrano, CA) finished second with a time of 18:27 and Kenzie Estes (17, Riverside, CA) finished third among the women with a time of 18:55. Major League Baseball is donating 100%
of the registration fees to the four cancer charities: Stand Up to Cancer, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Prostate Cancer Foundation and City of Hope.
The event took the record field of participants on a baseball-themed course in and around Angel Stadium in an unprecedented preview of the All-Star field.
